What is Optimise?

Optimise is a BB103/BB104 school sufficiency and asset-utilisation web app for local authorities, dioceses and multi-academy trusts. It combines HMLR mapping with floor-plan import and room-area analysis so you can compare each school's external and internal space to DfE guidelines, model scenarios against NoR and PAN, and identify surplus land and buildings for compliant disposal (including Section 77) and reinvestment—with dashboards, demand context and training built in.

Client Hierarchy Vision

National clients (DfE and MHCLG) oversee delivery by Local Authorities, with Schools, Dioceses, and MATs conducting assessments. The system prioritises projects using standardised metrics, allocates roles and dates, and rolls up results to a national reporting layer for visibility and programme assurance.
